DynCorp to Operate, Maintain Communication Suites on Navy Joint High Speed Vessels

DynCorp International has won a potential $20.9 million U.S. Navy contract to operate and maintain communication suites aboard Military Sealift Command vessels.

The competitively-awarded, fixed-price contract has one base year and four option years. It the third consecutive award of the program to the company.

Under the new contract, DynCorp will provide services on three maritime prepositioning squadrons and up to nine joint high speed vessels.

Work on the first JHSV will begin Oct. 1, 2011, in Mobile, Ala.

“We are honored that the U.S. Navy has chosen us for this important contract, expanding our relationship with the Navy and highlighting our experience in the communications space, ” said George Krivo, vice president of Dyncorp’s operations and maintenance business area.
