CH2M HILL Names Patrick O’Connell President of Major Gov’t Programs

CH2M HILL has appointed Patrick O’Connell as president of its major government programs.

O’Connell will be responsible for growing the company’s business in large-scale global government programs.

The company said this will entail identifying new opportunities, recruiting strategic personnel and securing major government programs worldwide.

O’Connell will report directly to Michael McKelvy, president of CH2M HILL’s government, environment and nuclear operating division. O’Connell will be based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

O’Connell has more than 28 years of experience in major program management and systems integration.

He most recently served as president of British Telecom‘s major programmes division, where he managed a $5 billion annual budget and 19, 000 staff in more than 170 countries.

O’Connell is currently chairman of major programme management at Oxford University‘s Said Business School.
