Boeing Wins $1B Air Force Modification to Produce Satellite Vehicles

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Boeing‘s (NYSE: BA) satellite systems unit a $1.1 billion firm-fixed-price contract modification to produce the seventh Wideband Global SATCOM satellite.

Boeing will also provide long-lead materials for an eighth satellite.

The contracting activity is SMC/PKJW, El Segundo, Calif.
