SAIC Wins $222M to Develop an Interoperable Virtual System for Army Training

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) has won a $222 million cost-plus-fixed-fee U.S. Army contract.

The company will help develop a common virtual environment that facilitates fair fight interoperability.

The environment will be used in virtual system and non-system training aids, simulators and simulations.

Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., with an estimated completion date of August 2016.

The bid was solicited through the Internet, with two bids received.

The U.S. Army Program Executive Office, Training and Instrumentation Acquisition Center, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity.
