SAIC Added to $225M Army Contract

The U.S. Army has added SAIC (NYSE: SAI) and five other companies to a $225 million firm-fixed-price level-of-effort multiple-award-task-order contract.

Sixteen vendors are on the award, which will provide for white collar professional services.

The bid was solicited through the Internet, with 10 bids received.

Work location will be determined with each task order, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2012.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.
