Raytheon Wins $67M Navy IDIQ for Satellite Communication Engineering

The U.S. Navy has awarded Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) network-centric solutions business a $67, 030, 102 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering services.

The award is a cost-plus fixed-fee, cost-plus incentive-fee and firm-fixed-price hybrid contract.

The services will help the Navy meet its satellite communications program requirements.

Requirements include the following Raytheon-produced systems:

  • extremely high frequency
  • super high frequency WSC-6 (v)5/7
  • global broadcast service
  • submarine high date rate
  • Navy multiband terminal

Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Work is expected to be completed by August 2016.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
