Raytheon to Provide R&D Engineering Services for Navy Standard Missile Program

Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) will provide research and development engineering and technical services to support the U.S. Navy‘s standard missile program on a $7, 237, 019 contract modification.

Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by December 2011.

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

The U.S. Missile Defense Agency has awarded Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) missile systems business a $285.8 million contract modification, increasing the total contract value to $1, 554, 928, 730. The company will manufacture an additional 23 Standard Missile-3 Block IA missiles. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. The MDA, Dahlgren, Va., is the contracting activity.
