Raytheon to Provide Helicopter Sonar System Items to Navy

Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) integrated defense systems business will provide consumable items for the airborne low frequency sonar system of the MH-60R helicopter.

The company will perform the action under a previously-award contract.

The award is for $6, 840, 711 and funds in the amount of $3, 420, 355 are currently obligated. Navy working capital funds used for this action will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Work will be performed in Brest, France, and is expected to be completed Aug. 11, 2013.

One company was solicited for the non-competitive requirement, and one offer was received.

The Naval Supply Systems Command’s weapon systems support, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.
