Northrop to Provide Logistics Support to Unmanned Vehicle Vertical Takeoff System

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) will provide the U.S. Navy with logistics support for the vertical takeoff and landing tactical unmanned aerial vehicle MQ-8B fire scout system.

The company will provide logistics management, maintenance and supply support, air vehicle transportation, training services, flight operations and deployment support.

The contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR6.302-1. Contract funds in the amount of $6, 400, 000 will expire at the end of the fiscal year.

Work is expected to be completed in August 2012.

The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
