ITT Corp. (NYSE: ITT) has announced Markos Tambakeras will serve as non-executive chairman of the board of Xylem, the company which ITT’s water technology businesses will spin off into.
Tambakeras is the former chairman, president and CEO of Kennametal, Inc. and has been a member of ITT’s board of directors since 2001.
Steve Loranger, ITT’s chairman, president and CEO, will be chairman emeritus of Xylem’s board of directors and will also serve on ITT Exelis’ board. ITT Exelis will consist of ITT’s defense and information solutions segment.
