Lockheed Order Extends Target Acquisition Radar Systems Contract to $252M

Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) mission systems and sensors business unit has won a $91, 535, 564 U.S. Army firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification.

The modification is the final award from an undefinitized April 2010 contract now worth $252 million.

The modification completes an order for 20 EQ-36 radar systems that can mount to armored five-ton trucks. Lockheed will deliver the first system this month.

Lockeed will also upgrade four armored trucks for armored sustained operation groups and mission essential groups.

One bid was solicited, with one bid received.

Work will be performed in Liverpool, N.Y., with an estimated completion date of July 30, 2012. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity.
