General Dynamics to Provide Labor, Material to Convert Tanks for Saudi Arabia

The U.S. Army has awarded General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) land systems business unit a $12, 586, 165 cost-no-fee contract.

The company will provide material items and associated labor to support production and conversion of 42 M1A2 tanks to a M1A2S configuration for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

One bid was solicited, with one bid received. Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2012.

The U.S. Army TACOM, contracting center, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.
