General Dynamics to Continue to Maintain Navy Nuclear Maintenance Department

General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) wholly-owned subsidiary Electric Boat will continue to operate a nuclear regional maintenance department on a $24.9 million modification to a three-year contract worth $78 million.

The company will provide project management, planning, training and radiological-control services to support maintenance, modernization and repairs at the naval submarine base in Groton, Conn.

Around 25 Electric Boat employees are assigned to the NRMD.
