General Dynamics to Assemble Artillery Charge System for U.S. Army

General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) armament and technical products business unit will load, assemble and pack U.S. Army 155mm M231 and M232A1 modular artillery charge system propelling charge increments.

Two bids were solicited, with two bids received for the $8, 596, 739 firm-fixed-price contract modification.

Work will be performed in Burlington, Vt., with an estimated completion date of Sept. 13, 2013.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity.
