Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) has signed a five-year contract to provide IT infrastructure managed services to Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII)
Ingalls builds nuclear and non-nuclear ships for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard.
Ingalls said it will tap CSC to stand-up an independent IT environment and reduce infrastructure costs.
“CSC envisions an enduring relationship with Ingalls Shipbuilding, ” said Russ Owen, president of CSC’s managed services sector. “We will leverage the assets of our company to achieve our mutual vision of cost-effective, modern IT systems management, operation and transformation for Ingalls Shipbuilding.”
