CSC Acquires Global Healthcare IT Solutions Provider iSOFT

CSC (NYSE: CSC) has closed its acquisition of healthcare IT solutions provider iSOFT Group Limited.

CSC appointed iSOFT’s former CEO Andrea Fiumicelli as chief operating officer of its healthcare business.

CSC said the move will add a robust set of clients in new and emerging markets and strengthen its software products and healthcare integration and services portfolio.

More than 13, 000 healthcare providers and governments in 40 countries use iSOFT’s healthcare software solutions to manage patient information and drive core process improvements.

iSOFT employs 3, 000 workers across the globe, including in research and development centers in India, Spain, UK, Australia, New Zealand and central Europe.
