Northrop Grumman to Continue to Operate and Support Air Force Aircraft, Onboard Airborne Communications

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman‘s (NYSE: NOC) defense systems division, Herndon, Va., a $20, 658, 295 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.

The company will operate and support the aircraft E-11A, serial number 1-900 modified carry the battle field airborne communications node payload for an additional four months from July through November.

Northrop Grumman will also operate and maintain the BACN payload and maintain the modified aircraft. Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity.
