L-3 to Produce Aircrew Training System for Pakistan

L-3 Communications‘ (NYSE: LLL) link simulation and training division, Arlington, Texas, has won a $20, 563, 657 firm-fixed-price contract to provide an aircrew training system to Pakistan.

The system will support Pakistani air force pilot training and includes:

  • 2 F-16 Block 52 aircrew training devices
  • mission support systems with 18 panel simusphere
  • F-16A Block 15/52 ATS
  • F-16C Block 52 ATS
  • common ATS Block 15 and Block 52 software
  • 21 months contractor logistics support

It will also include a  geo-specific database with high resolution inputs and:

  • full APG-68 version nine radar with digital radar land mass simulation
  • full weapons simulation
  • Maverick missile
  • targeting pod
  • joint helmet mounted cueing system
  • threat environment A-G and spot jamming
Work will be performed at Arlington, Texas.  ASC/WNSK, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
