Army to Evaluate Harris’ Radio Networking Capabilities in Tactical Network Exercises

Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) will support the U.S. Army‘s network integration evaluation with its Falcon III AN/PRC-117G tactical radio system.

The radios will provide wideband networking capability to the tests and evaluations at Fort Bliss, Texas, and White Sands Missile Range, N.M., which aim to speed the deployment of an integrated battlefield network.

The NIE is the first in a series of semi-annual evaluations designed to integrate and mature the Army’s tactical network. It involves tests and evaluations of five current programs and 30 emerging or developmental technologies.

The Army will assess and collect data on the AN/PRC-117G’s wideband networking performance.
