SAIC Wins Potential $61M Medical and Science Research Contract

Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) has won a follow-on contract from the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command to provide scientific and other support services to congressionally-directed medical research programs.

The single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a two-year base performance period, three one-year options and a contract ceiling of more than $61 million. Work will be performed primarily in Frederick, Md.

The CDMRP is a partnership among the U.S. Congress, the public and the military that supports untapped scientific and medical research.

“We are pleased to continue our work assisting the CDMRP as it develops programs that enable health experts to conduct important research, potentially finding cures for diseases that impact all Americans, ” said Steve Comber, SAIC SVP and business unit general manager.
