Northrop to Improve Air Force Laser Detection and Ranging Technology

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman‘s (NYSE: NOC) electronic systems section, Linthicum Heights, Md., a $17, 502, 065 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to improve the detection and potential target characterization capabilities of a laser detection and ranging technology.

Northrop will perform altitude flight testing and work with new data processing algorithms.

The location of performance is Linthicum Heights, Md.  Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
