Lockheed Wins $107.5M Navy Modification for F-35 Aircraft

The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, a $107, 582, 787 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-firm contract. Lockheed will produce one  low rate initial production IV conventional take off and landing F-35 aircraft for the government of the Netherlands. It will also provide ancillary mission equipment and fighter pilot equipment items. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Eighty percent of the work will be done in the U.S. and 20 percent will be done in the U.K. Work is expected to be completed in February 2013.   The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.
