Lockheed to Provide Software Development for Tomahawk Weapons Control System

The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMTinformation systems and global services, King of Prussia, Pa., a $13, 063, 291 modification to a previously-awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.

Lockheed will exercise an option for software development activity, which will include system engineering, software, hardware deployment, support  and management efforts required to field the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System.

Contract funds in the amount of $139, 490 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Under two percent of the orders will be for the U.K. government under the Foreign Military Sales Program.

Work will be performed in King of Prussia, Pa., and is expected to be completed in June 2012.   The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.
