Kratos to Provide Army With R&D Capabilities for Advanced Weapons, Fluid Dynamics and More

The U.S. Army has awarded Kratos’ (NASDAQ: KTOS), Digital Fusion subsidiary, Huntsville, Ala., a $23, 088, 850 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. Kratos will provide the Army with research, development, modeling and simulating capabilities.

The contract will support innovative and comprehensive R&D efforts in modeling and simulation, computational fluid dynamics, aerodynamic heating and advanced weapons concepts.

One bid was solicited with one bid received.

The work has an estimated completion date of June 17, 2016. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
