Kratos Completes Unannounced DHS Contracts to Protect Critical Infrastructure and Water Supplies

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: KTOS) has integrated specialized security and surveillance systems into command and control infrastructure at critical U.S. instrastructure locations to fulfill Department of Homeland Security Critical Infrastructure Key Resources program contracts. The work may have been for contracts from other agencies, as well. Specific customers, locations and other contract information will not be made available. 

Kratos installed video surveillance, access control, perimeter detection, infrared lighting and other security devices aimed at detecting and denying unauthorized entry. The DHS programs enhance the security of water treatment plants and other strategic infrastructure.

Ben Goodwin, president of Kratos’ public safety & security solutions division, said, “we are very proud to have been part of this program to enhance the security of our nation’s critical infrastructure. Protecting our water resources with advanced security technologies leverages the experience our engineering and deployment staff has developed in other CIKR applications such as airports, maritime ports and marquis real estate sites around the country.”
