Army Awards Lockheed Martin $185M Contract for Threat Detection System

The U.S. Army has awarded Lockheed Martin Mission Systems & Sensors (NYSE: LMT), Akron, Ohio, a $184, 289, 000 firm-fixed-price contract for production and delivery of:

  • 29 fully integrated dual sensor persistent threat detection systems with support equipment and site consumables
  • 7 sets of tether-up kits
  • 2 sets of theater spares
  • 36 MX-20 lite sensor spares
  • 5 sets of site spares for the initial five fully-integrated PTDS

Work will be performed in Akron, Ohio, with an estimated completion date of May 26, 2012. One bid was solicited, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity
