SAIC Cybersecurity VP Marsha Young Named to NH-ISAC Board

Science Applications International Corporation [NYSE: SAI] announced today VP for Cybersecurity Marsha Young has been appointed to the National Health Information Sharing & Analysis Center board of directors.

NH-ISAC works to protect the nation’s healthcare and public health critical infrastructure against security issues, threats and vulnerabilities. The board of directors will work to define the NH-ISAC strategic plan and help support development of the National Health and Public Health Cybersecurity education effort.

Young has more than three decades’ experience in the public sector, serving the Social Security Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services. She previously worked as a privacy and security policy subject-matter expert with the Data Sharing and Intellectual Capital Workspace for the National Cancer Institute-sponsored cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid program that enables collaborative research.

In her current role as vice president with SAIC’s cyber program management office, Young focuses on health IT, data privacy and security solutions development.

“The NH-ISAC is a critical component in enhancing the cybersecurity posture of the nation’s public healthcare infrastructure, ” said Bob Giesler, SAIC senior vice president for cybersecurity programs and executive sponsor of the ISAC board membership. “Marsha is an ideal selection for the ISAC board based on her deep domain knowledge of the healthcare sector, cybersecurity and privacy laws and regulations.”
