Lockheed Picks up $11.35M Navy Deal

The Defense Department announced Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE LMT) Maritime Systems & Sensors, based in Moorestown, N.J., has been awarded an $11.35 million modification covering contractor support and engineering services for the Mk 92 Fire Control System program.

The $11, 354, 238 deal is a modification to a previously awarded Navy contract.

The contract also includes provisions for materials and services to refurbish and repair Mk 92 Fire Control System equipment, engineering services and field services in support of in-service engineering requirements.

Lockheed’s maritime divisions will also provide drawings, software engineering and documentation development. Work will be performed in New Jersey and is expected to be completed by August 2011.  Some $4.34 million in contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
