L-3 Communication’s Aerospace Division Awarded Navy, Air Force Contracts for C-12 Aircraft

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced yesterday its aerospace division, Systems Field Support, has been awarded U.S. Navy and Air Force contracts for as much as $300 million to provide logistics support for the services’ C-12 aircraft.

The total potential value of the contracts stands at more than $300 million over five years. The initial contracts are valued at $32.9 million and cover life-cycle support and maintenance of the the aircraft.

“L-3 Systems Field Support is thrilled that the Navy and Air Force have selected us to continue providing CLS [Contractor Logistics Support] for their fleets of C-12 aircraft, ” said Gordon Walsh, acting president of L-3 SFS. “We firmly believe that this award is a testament to the trust and confidence that we’ve earned through a decade of outstanding performance.”
