General Dynamics Land Systems Pick up $40M Abrams Tank Contract

General Dynamics Land System, the government-contracting giant’s (NYSE: GD) Sterling Heights, Mich.-based tankbuilder, was awarded a nearly $40 million Army contract to provide system technical support for the Abrams tank program.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, worth $33, 985, 782, will be performed in Sterling Heights with an estimated completion date of Dec. 19, 2011.
