DRS Wins Two Task Orders from DISA

DRS Technical Services announced its Global Enterprise Solutions unit has been awarded two task orders from the Defense Information Systems Agency. The awards, valued at $48 million, require DRS to provide a package of managed services including remote terminals, high-speed modems with advanced coding, ground stations and fiber connectivity, among many others services, for U.S. forces in Southwest Asia.

The task orders ensure that DRS Defense Solutions will continue to provide in-theater support to the Defense Department.

“These awards underscore the importance of our work in Southwest Asia, ” said Dr. Mitchell Rambler, president of DRS Technical Services. “Our strong presence in theater allows DRS to provide a broad range of communication services to our nation’s warfighters, directly contributing to their safety and mission success.”

DRS and its suppliers — Intelsat General Corporation, Paradigm Secure Communications Ltd. and Xtar, LLC — will provide X-band satellite connectivity and terrestrial transport services to U.S. forces serving in Southwest Asia.
