CGI Awarded Contract with FHA; Cheryl Campbell Comments

CGI Federal Inc. has been awarded a contract with the Federal Health Architecture worth $5.7 million over a term of one year. The contract includes four one-year options to support FHA’s CONNECT Nationwide Health Information Exchange.

CGI will work with FHA and its partners to develop and build CONNECT into an open-source solution that supports secure, standards-based health information exchange and meaningful use of health IT.

“CGI is proud to expand our partnership with FHA to support their vision of furthering the exchange of health information to improve healthcare quality for the nation, ” said Cheryl Campbell, senior vice president of CGI.

CGI solutions has supported federal agency health information exchange initiatives including those by the Defense Department, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Social Security Administration, among many others.
