BAE Systems Awarded Army Propellant Deal

The Defense Department announced BAE Systems Ordnance System in Kingsport, Tenn., was awarded May 12 a $10 million contract to provide propellants for the Army.

Bids for the $10, 062, 500 firm-fixed-price contract was solicited via the Internet; two bids were received. Work will be performed in Radford, Va. The U.S. Army Contracting Command in Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.
