Tuesday DoD Winners Include General Dynamics, L-3

According to the Department of Defense, “L-3 (NYSE: LLL) is being awarded a $9, 536, 470 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00421-09-D-0009) to exercise an option for technical and engineering support for the AIR 4.3 structures division, to include all data analysis, information systems, and software functions of the Structural Appraisal of Fatigue Effects Program.  Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md., and is expected to be completed in February 2012.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

“General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) was awarded a $59, 084, 086 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the purchase of up to 21 Abrams M1A2 system enhancement package version two upgrade tanks.  Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio; Tallahassee, Fla.; Anniston, Ala.; Scranton, Penn.; and Sterling Heights, Mich., with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2013.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  The U.S. Army TACOM LCMC, Army Contracting Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-06-G-0006).”
