Thursday DoD Winners Include Raytheon, L-3

According to the Department of Defense, “Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) is being awarded a $7, 552, 000 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-10-C-5126) for class services engineering efforts supporting the Zumwalt-class destroyer program.  These efforts include total ship computing environment infrastructure software facility support, test and evaluation, and design solution engineering.  Work will be performed in Portsmouth, R.I. (29 percent); Tewksbury, Mass. (26 percent); Sudbury, Mass. (26 percent); Moorestown, N.J. (10 percent); Marlboro, Mass. (6 percent); Herndon, Va. (1 percent); Houston, Texas (1 percent); Leesburg, Va. (0.5 percent); and Minneapolis, Minn. (0.5 percent).  Work is expected to be completed by November 2011.  Contract funds in the amount of $5, 106, 000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

“L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) is being awarded a $42, 285, 583 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery requirements contract (N00019-05-D-0023) for logistics support of 124 TH-57B/TH-57C aircraft.  Work will be performed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whiting Field, Milton, Fla. (99 percent), and NAS Patuxent River, Md. (1 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2012.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.”
