Lockheed Marches to Pair of Army Wins

According to the Department of Defense, “Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) was awarded an $85, 300, 000 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the procurement of 42 MX-20 lite sensor B-kits; 21 MX-20 lite installation A-kits; five upgraded ground control stations and associated gondolas, to include required software upgrades; and 10 STARLite installation A-kits in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  Work will be performed in Akron, Ohio, with an estimated completion date of Nov. 23, 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-11-C-S002).

“Lockheed Martin was awarded a $7, 048, 349 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.  The award will provide technical and consumable material support, as well as planning, management, failure analysis, quality reliability assessment, maintenance of the Certified Round Data Management system, and maintenance support activities conducted at the PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 Missile Support Center.  Work will be performed in Grand Prairie, Texas; Camden, Ariz.; and Lufkin, Ark., with an estimated completion date of Jan. 31, 2012.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Contracting Center, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-11-C-0180).”
