L-3, Argon ST Pin Down Defense Deals

According to the Department of Defense, “Argon ST is being awarded a $45, 000, 000 not-to-exceed ceiling firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement, testing, delivery, training, and logistical support of the Joint Precision Air Drop System Ultra Light Weight (JPADS-ULW).  The procurement is for the acquisition of a JPADS-ULW, an aircraft deployed steerable canopy system that is capable of delivering cargo loads of 250 pounds to 699 pounds rigged weight, safely and effectively from 24, 500 feet mean sea level through hardware, software altitude control, glide management of system descent and landing.  Work will be performed in Smithfield, Pa., and is expected to be completed by March 17, 2016.  Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured with proposals solicited via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with five offers received.  The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

“L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) is being awarded a $314, 623.67 firm-fixed-price contract for contractor logistics support for the C-12 aircraft for Pacific Air Force, Air Force Material Command, Defense Intelligence Agency, and Defense Security Corporation Agency, consisting of maintenance, repair and support functions for seven months (including phase-in) from April 1 through Oct. 31, 2011.  The location of performance is Madison, Miss..  OC-ALC/GKSKH, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (FA8106-11-D-0002-0001).”
