Deloitte, BAE Systems Book Defense Work

According to the Department of Defense, “Deloitte was awarded on a $13, 792, 243 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for services to the Acquisition Oversight Division area within the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization.  Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., with an estimated completion date of Feb. 17, 2014.  The bid was solicited through the General Services Administration’s eBuy system with five bids received.  The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, Contracting Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W91CRB-11-F-0020).

“BAE Systems was awarded an $8, 563, 336 cost, no-fee contract.  The award will provide for the refurbishment of 440 M113A2 armored personnel carriers to a fully mission capable plus condition for the government of Iraq.  Work will be performed in Anniston, Ala., with an estimated completion date of April 30, 2012.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-10-G-0003).”
