Harris to Support DoD Vision Registry; Jim Traficant Comments

Harris (NYSE: HRS) secured a contract from Base Technologies, Inc., to support the development of the Defense and Veterans Eye Injury and Vision Registry for the Defense Department.

According to the firm, “the registry will track the occurrence, treatment, and outcomes of all eye injuries or visual dysfunction experienced by members of the armed forces while serving on active duty.”

“This collaboration between the DoD and the VA is an important milestone in improving the treatment of our wounded warriors, ” said Jim Traficant, vice president and general manager, Harris Healthcare Solutions.  “Harris is helping the DoD to develop this registry as a support tool for research, treatment, and development of clinical best practices.”
