Double the Defense Work for BAE Systems

According to the Department of Defense, “BAE Systems was awarded a $15, 861, 020 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the modernization of the Research Development eXplosive waste water facility to meet environmental discharge regulations as required by Tennessee Department of Environmental Conservation.  Work will be performed in Kingsport, Tenn., with an estimated completion date of Feb. 29, 2013.  One bid was solicited with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-98-E-0006).

“BAE Systems was awarded a $15, 713, 984 contract modification to exercise the Lot 17 option to procure a quantity of 9-QF-4 full scale aerial targets.  At this time, $15, 713, 984 has been obligated. AAC/EBYK at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. is the contracting activity. (FA8675-04-C-0214, P00073)”
