SRA International (NYSE: SRX) is teaming with GFI Software to boost the firm’s cybersecurity product offerings.

GFI supports “mission-critical security software and services to enterprises needing specialized tools for threat analysis and defense.”

SRA will merge its strategic cyber solutions with GFI’s Sandbox tool to “deliver a hardened virtualization platform that enables Security Operations Centers (SOCs) to automatically perform dynamic analyses on malware in a safe, ‘sandboxed’ environment and aid in identifying previously unknown malware.”

“Malware signature detection is a needed component in any defense-in-depth cyber security strategy, but the ability to discover, analyze and prevent the penetration of new malware using highly automated tools is the cybersecurity ‘holy grail’, ” said SRA Senior VP of Offerings & Products Pat Burke. “As malware attacks grow in complexity and ferocity, SOCs must find ways to analyze the attacks rapidly and precisely in order to safeguard their organizations. The robust functionality of the GFI Sandbox, combined with SRA’s proven experience providing strategic solutions for SOCs, enables us to help our clients reduce the gap to exposure and significantly enhance the resiliency of an organization’s operations with a level of security and efficiency that hasn’t been available to date.”
