SAIC Snags $343 Million with Army’s Space & Missile Defense Command

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) won a contract with the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) to support modeling, simulation, analysis and integration tools for soldiers in the field.

The ID/IQ deal has a three-year base term and a pair of two-year options and a ceiling of $343 million for the firm.

According to the firm, “USASMDC conducts space and missile defense operations and provides planning, integration, control and coordination of Army forces and capabilities in support of U.S. Strategic Command missions. Under the contract, SAIC will provide the Army and other services advanced capabilities and defense technologies as required for modeling, simulation and analysis, and integration of space and missile defense issues. SAIC will also help design and build technologies as needed to help the Army combat existing and future space and missile defense challenges. Under the contract, SAIC is one of two companies eligible to compete for future task orders.”

“This contract will enable the SAIC team to develop and deliver advance solutions to support our warfighters, ” said John Fratamico, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager. “We look forward to leveraging innovative technologies to address the Army’s critical space and missile defense challenges.”
