SAIC Marches to Trio of Army Contracts

According to the Department of Defense, “SAIC (NYSE: SAI) was awarded a $16, 635, 020 cost-plus-fixe-fee and performance-based-incentive-funding contract.  The award will provide Class V munitions supply support for all ammunition stocks accounted for by U.S. military components, Department of Defense agencies as required, and coalition forces in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.  Work will be performed in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 29, 2011.  The bid was solicited through the Internet with four bids received.  The U.S. Army Rock Island Contracting Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52P1J-11-C-0005).

“SAIC was awarded a $10, 000, 000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.  The award will provide for airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.  Work will be performed in McLean, Va., with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2012.  The bid was solicited through FedBizOpps with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, Vicksburg, Miss., is the contracting activity (W912HZ-11-C-0007).

“SAIC was awarded an $8, 019, 286 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.  The award will provide for the operation and maintenance of the Battle Command Training Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.  Work will be performed in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2011.  Eight bids were solicited with two bids received.  The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., is the contracting activity (DABK01-03-D-0007).”
