Dell Services won a position as a first-tier subcontractor from the U.S. Coast Guard to support infrastructure services, including evaluation of emerging technologies to traditional desktop, server and network towers as part of the Ace Info Solutions team.

According to the firm, “Dell’s subsidiary had been providing support on the previous contract for the USCG’s Operations System Center (OSC) in West Virginia. For the new five-year Core Technologies Services (CTS) contract, Dell Services will be providing staffing for 25 percent of the OSC’s facility for an estimated $18 million.”

A team from Dell Services  recently provided communications and IT support during the Haiti earthquake and the USCG’s clean-up efforts in the Gulf of Mexico.

“We want to thank the Coast Guard for choosing Dell Services to continue supporting critical applications and IT support services for this new contract, ” said Rich Pineda, VP, Dell Services Federal Government Division. “Our team is looking forward to continuing to be a trusted provider of the Coast Guard’s, as we have been for over a decade, in supporting their goals including helping them manage their IT resources in the most efficient and effective manner possible.”
