Lockheed Martin, Boeing Sail Off with Navy Deals

According to the Department of Defense, “Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) is being awarded a $47, 573, 542 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0031) for mission system spares required for the initial outfitting of new avionics components for 12 P-3C aircraft for the government of Taiwan under the Foreign Military Sales program.  Work will be performed in Eagan, Minn., and is expected to be completed in December 2012.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

“Boeing (NYSE: BA) is being awarded a $17, 555, 062 modification to a delivery order placed against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-11-G-0001) to provide for supplies and services in support of the follow-on test and evaluation of the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft.  Work will be performed in at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Md. (77 percent); St. Louis, Mo. (21 percent); El Segundo, Calif. (1 percent); and Bethpage, N.Y. (1 percent), and is expected to be completed in October 2011.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.”
