Siemens is in talks to support wind farm construction near Massachusetts’ Cape Cod.

Siemens U.S. CEO  Eric Spiegel feels a successful development in this case could lead to future business opportunities with “offshore wind power, ” Bloomberg reported.

“We have been in discussions to help finance debt and equity, ” Spiegel said in an interview today, according to Bloomberg. “We’d be willing to be a part if it’s required.”

Developer Cape Wind Associates LLC wants to position more than 100 of the firm’s turbines a few miles off Cape Cod.
