SAIC Reports Army Contract; ITT Scoops Up Pair

According to the Department of Defense, “SAIC (NYSE: SAI) was awarded on Dec. 6, 2010, a $9, 879, 138 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.  The overall objective of this task are to provide; environmental support; project schedule and cost controls support; action tracking support; quality assurance support; chemical laboratory and environmental monitoring support; safety, security, training, risk management and surely support; computer and IT support; systematization and operations engineering support; maintenance engineering and trail burn support; administrative and records management support; chemical weapons treaty support; public outreach support, and project management consulting support to the Chemical Material Agency Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility field office in its oversight of the Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility Systems contract and integration among all sites.  Work is to be performed in San Diego, Calif., with an estimated completion date of Nov. 30, 2011.  One bid was solicited with one bid received. Research Development & Engineering Command Contracting Officer, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W911SR-07-D-0001).

“ITT (NYSE: ITT) was awarded a $17, 291, 002 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the maintenance, supply and transportation services in the support of the Army Preposition Stocks-Kuwait (APS-5) and direct theater support for Southwest Asia missions.  Work is to be performed in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2011.  Bids were solicited on the World Wide Web with five bids received. Rock Island Contracting Center, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W911SE-07-D-0006).

“ITT was awarded a $6, 979, 496 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The Army Sustainment Command has a requirement to maintain authorized Army pre-positioned stocks and repair and return equipment in Doha, Qatar.  The objective is to ensure equipment is received, accounted for configured, stored, maintained, issued, and readiness is reported in support of the Army’s force projection strategy.  Work is to be performed in Doha, Qatar., with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2015.  Fifteen bids were solicited with five bids received. Army Contracting Command, RICC, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W911SE-07-D-0006). “
