Northrop Wraps Up Pair of Defense Deals to Close Week

According to the Department of Defense, “Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) is being awarded a $9, 429, 110 modification to contract (N00024-10-C-2102) for material procurement in support of submarine planning yard services.  The contract will support engineering, technical, design, configuration management, integrated logistics systems, database management, research and design, trade, and modernization support for operational and decommissioning submarines, submarines undergoing availabilities/conversion, special mission submersibles and submarine support facilities.  Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to completed by September 2011.  Contract funds in the amount of $41, 200 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, Newport News, Va., is the contracting activity.

“Northrop Grumman was awarded a $7, 293, 130 contract which will provide for the multiplatform radar technology insertion program radar system development and demonstration for integration with the Global Hawk Block 40 program.  At this time, the entire amount has been obligated.  ESC/HBGK, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-00-C-0100).”
