Busy Few Days for Qatar: First the World Cup, Now Boeing

Just days after landing the 2022 World Cup, the nation of Qatar also saw the opening of Boeing’s (NYSE:BA) first office in the country.

The new office, located in Doha, will house the firm’s Defense, Space & Security business.  It will also serve as a base for commercial airplanes.

“This new office is an important commitment that Boeing is making to Doha, the Qatari government and our customers in the immediate region, ” said Dennis Muilenburg, president of Boeing Defense, Space & Security. “It will enable Boeing to maintain the in-person contact necessary to further develop our close working relationship with Qatar, as part of our overall strategy to build partnerships with our customers.”
