Alion Hires Stephen Miller to Lead Management & Decision Support Operation

Alion Science has hired retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Stephen Miller to the role of vice president and manager of the company’s Management and Decision Support Operation.

Miller will support customers and will work to boost the firm’s offering in markets like cyber warfare and decision support.

“The unique requirements of today’s warfighters have evolved over the past several years, to where a thorough understanding of the importance of doctrine and the skill sets required in the cyber environment are critical for success, ” said Richard E. Brooks, VP and manager of the Distributed Simulation Group. “Steve’s vast experience and insights gained as a leader in these vitally important areas will significantly help the Alion team fully support our customer base and ensure our forces are fully prepared for any and all challenges.”

Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has secured a 60-month, $87.7M contract to help the U.S. Navy's Forces Surveillance Support Center in Virginia engineer an over-the-horizon radar system. The company will provide engineering and programmatic services under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
